We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for third-party advertising. You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time. We comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), and the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Spain.
Data Protection Officer: not appointed. We have assessed the criteria under Article 37 GDPR and Article 34 LOPDGDD and concluded that formal appointment is not mandatory at our current scale. If this changes, we will appoint one and notify the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
To identify business partners for professional outreach on the Spain ↔ Morocco corridor (restaurants, travel agents, transporters), we may process publicly available business contact information (generic business emails such as info@restaurant.com, posted telephone numbers, public-page contact links). This processing:
We do not process special categories of personal data under Article 9 GDPR (health, religion, political opinions, biometric data for unique identification, etc.). Identity verification is performed by a human reviewer and does not involve automated facial comparison.
We process personal data under the following purposes and lawful bases (GDPR Article 6):
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Create and manage your account | Account, auth data | Art. 6(1)(b) Contract |

Wherever consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time:
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you by solely automated means (GDPR Article 22). Proximity matching is a ranking aid; you remain in control of every offer, acceptance, and completion.
We never share your email, IP address, credentials, or phone number with other users unless you choose to disclose them yourself in chat.

No system is fully secure. If you suspect a security issue, email contact@yourposte.com with `[Security]` in the subject.
If a breach occurs, we will:
You have the right to:
We may request reasonable identity verification if we have doubts about your identity. Exercising your rights is free of charge unless requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
We respond within one month. For complex or numerous requests we may extend this by up to two further months, informing you within the first month.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings or by emailing contact@yourposte.com.
On deletion:
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies in three categories:
1. Strictly necessary (no consent required): Supabase authentication session, language preference, CSRF token, and the `yp_consent_v1` record of your cookie choice itself
2. Analytics and performance (consent required): first-party usage analytics written to our own database
3. Marketing (consent required): Facebook Pixel
Web push notifications (OneSignal) are not governed by the cookie banner: the script loads with the page but your browser is only registered for push — and only linked to your account — after you allow notifications in the browser's own permission prompt. See the Cookie Policy, section 4.3.
The AI chat assistant on the website (Awareto) belongs to the Analytics category: it is never loaded if you rejected Analytics cookies, and even after you accept them it only loads when you tap the chat button. It is never available while you are signed in, nor in the iOS / Android apps. See the Cookie Policy, section 4.2.
A cookie banner appears on first visit with equal-prominence Accept / Reject / Customize buttons, per the AEPD's 2024 guide on cookies. Nothing in the Analytics or Marketing categories is loaded before you make a choice. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Full details in our separate Cookie Policy.
With your signup you consent to receive service-related emails (welcome, onboarding, occasional product news). You can opt out at any time in three ways:
Opt-out applies within 24 hours at most. Deal-related notifications (offers, messages, OTP, pickup reminders) are transactional and are not affected by the marketing opt-out.
The Platform offers an optional identity-verification step where you can upload an identity document and a selfie. Review is performed manually by our administrators. We do not use automated biometric matching, which means the data is not processed as special-category biometric data under Article 9 GDPR.
Retention: see Section 6. You may request deletion at any time under your Article 17 right, subject to ongoing legal-defence needs.
YourPoste is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We rely on account declarations at signup. Under Spanish law (LOPDGDD Article 7), the digital age of consent is 14, but the contractual eligibility threshold for YourPoste is 18. If you believe a minor is using the Platform, email contact@yourposte.com and we will investigate and delete the data.
Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance by email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" line at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. Historical versions are available on request.

If you receive payouts as a traveler, you can save your preferred payout method on your profile. We collect only the minimum data required to send the payment.
This data is stored in our managed database (Supabase) and is encrypted at rest. The full record is readable only by you (the account owner) and by YourPoste administrators acting in their operational role to operate the payouts feature and resolve disputes. Other users never see your full IBAN or PayPal email — internal admin views show masked values (e.g. `ES...1234`).
Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to send you payouts owed under our Terms — and our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate records for accounting and dispute resolution.
We retain your payout method data for as long as your account is active. You can update it at any time on the My Earnings page. If you delete your method or your account, we remove the active record but may retain a record of past payouts (transaction reference, amount, date) for the legally required accounting period (up to 6 years under Spanish law).
The standard GDPR rights described in section 9 apply — including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Email us at contact@yourposte.com to exercise them.
